The speaker this semester that has stood out is Daniel Robashkin. He is an MCAD graduate that currently owns a company that does graphic design/advertising. He stands out to me because I thought that he seemed unprepared. Although his art rocked it was pretty boring. It felt like he was pitching for a job. He just showed his work and then asked if we had any questions. There was no process explain or options we had if we wanted our own business. If felt like he came to intimidate, “hey look at what I can do, it is awesome, I am your competition”. Another student had asked how they go about choosing which project is the final project. I absolutely disliked his answer which was: everyone goes back to their work space does a pitch then his choice is the final choice. I am not sure if it the way he said that or the vibe but it just seemed like “yeah, I am the man”.It basically showed me what not do if I ever get invited to be a guest speaker.
